Rosendal

In 2018, a cool student housing project in Uppsala, Sweden, won the prestigious Swedish architectural prize, Bostadspriset. What set it apart was the integral role of service design. The architects and designers took a user-centric approach, understanding the diverse needs of students through research and personas. They mapped the entire student housing journey, created prototypes, and collaborated with students in co-creation workshops. Sustainability was a core consideration, and a seamless move-in experience and community-building activities were integrated. Continuous feedback ensured ongoing improvements. I work closely for half of the year, visiting Sweden and keeping an open funnel to have as many ideas as possible throughout the project.
